About the role
We are a small team building an AI matchmaker for South Asians. You will work directly with the founders on everything from the onboarding conversation that learns who a user is, to the matching pipeline that picks three people a week, to the app they see it in. Small team, real users, short feedback loops, and a lot of ownership.
What you'll do
- Build and ship user-facing features across the app and web from design through deploy
- Design and evolve backend services, APIs, and the data model behind matching
- Work with AI/LLM pipelines for profile understanding and match quality
- Keep the product fast, reliable, and observable in production
- Help set engineering standards as the team grows
What we're looking for
- 2+ years building and shipping production software (strong internships and personal projects count)
- Comfortable across the stack: TypeScript/React on the front, Node or Python and Postgres on the back
- You have shipped something real that people used, and can talk through the hard parts
- Pragmatic about tradeoffs and fast at learning unfamiliar systems
- Based in or willing to relocate to Dhaka
Nice to have
- React Native or native mobile experience
- Experience with LLM APIs, embeddings, or recommendation systems
- Early-stage startup experience
